　　2）表健康狀況和情感的形容詞：well, ill, glad, ready, sorry, sure等。

　　I am alone here at present.

　　I am ill           (right)

　　I am a ill girl.   (wrong)

　　小練習：判斷下列句子正誤。

　　1. This is an afraid animal.

　　2. They are two alike children.

　　3. They are alive children.

　　4. I live alone.

　　5. Tom falls asleep.

　　6. The book sells well.

　　7. I am ready.

　　8. This is a sure thing.

　　d.下列動詞可用作連系動詞，后接形容詞。

　　Become, die, fall, feel, get, grow, keep, look, seem, smell, taste, sound, turn.

　　Sound good       feel soft     smell bad        die young

　　Turn yellow       come true     go deaf        fall iff

　　E,下列兩種情況形容詞必須放在被修飾的名詞后：

　　1.）six meters long等

　　表示度量的形容詞，如：long, wide, broad, high, tall, deep, thick, old等與“數詞+名詞”連用時需后置，其結構為“數詞+名詞+度量形容詞”

　　Six meters long          twenty years old.           Three meters wide

　　2)something important等

　　形容詞修飾復合不定代詞something, anything, nothing, everything等時需后置。

　　I have something important to ask you.
