一般常見連接詞

常由so that、so… that 、 such…that引導

注意點

① 當so...that引導結果狀語從句時，so的后面只能跟形容詞或者副詞。

eg: She worked so hard that she passed the interview.

② 當such...that引導結果狀語從句時，such的后面只能跟名詞或名詞短語。

eg: It is such an interesting book that I want to see it again

③當名詞被表示數量的many、much、few、little等修飾時，連接詞要用so...that

eg: There are so many people in the hall that it's hard for me to find him

such+a/an+形容詞+名詞=so+形容詞+a/an+名詞

④ 結果狀語從句中，

eg:Jenny is such a clever girl that all of us like her very much.

意思等同于：Jenny is so clever a girl that all of us like her very much.

as、than、the more...the more、

注意點

①比較狀語從句一般分為同級之間的比較和不同級之間的比較。

同級之間比較用as，不同級之間比較用than。

eg:He is as strong as an ox.

The test is more difficult than I expected it to be.

② as和than引導的比較狀語從句中，通常會出現從句省去和主句相同部分的情況。

eg:She has passed the test earlier than (it has been) expected.

as、as if、the way、as though等

時態

由as if、 as though引導的從句，時態取決于說話者對所談內容的態度。

注意點

as if 和as theough引導方式狀語從句的時候，用虛擬語氣。

①

虛擬語氣表示一種假設，是說話者的主觀意愿或者猜想。

eg:If I were a fish, I would be able to swim in the river.

As A is to B,so C is to D。

②方式狀語從句中有一種固定的句型：

eg: As water is to fish, so air is to bird.

so that、in order that、in case等

時態

目的狀語從句一般都是用以補充主句中的謂語動詞發生的目的。

由于目的都是未來的行為，所以從句中一般用表示未來可能性的時態。

注意點

① 目的狀語從句中常會出現may、can、should、would等情態動詞。

② in order to 后接動詞原型，叫目的狀語。而in order that 后接從句，作目的狀語從句。

eg:We used the computer in order that we can save time.

We used the computer to save time.

so that不可以位于句首，而in order that 可以。

③ in order that 和 so that 的區別在于：

另外，so as to也不可以位于句首。

eg: In order that I could be in time for the test, I got up early.

though、although、even if、as、while、even though、no matter等

時態

讓步狀語從句遵從“主將從現”的時態規則，這里的“現”不僅僅指一般現在時，也有時候是現在完成時。

注意點

①一般情況，although和though可以互換。其中，although多位于句首。

② although，though不能與but連用，但是可以與yet，still，nevertheless連用。

yet常出現在否定句或者疑問句中。

eg: Although she treats me ,yet I will trust her.

as引導讓步狀語從句的時候，句子常作倒裝形式。

③

eg: Queen as she is ,she is unhappy.

while引導讓步狀語從句時，只能放于句首

④，意思和although一致。

eg: While she loves her son, she is strict to him.

⑤當用whether...or...來連接讓步狀語從句時，前后所說必須是兩個相反的事物。

eg: Whether he passes or fails, this is his last chance.
