基數詞的表示法

(1)以下是最基本的基數詞，學習者必須牢記:

one 1 two 2 three 3 four 4five 5 six 6 seven 7 eight 8nine

9 ten 10 eleven 11 twelve 12thirteen 13 fourteen 14 fifteen

15 sixteen 16seventeen 17 eighteen 18 nineteen 19 twenty 20thirty

30 forty 40 fifty 50 sixty 60seventy 70 eighty 80 ninety

90 a hundred 100a thousand 1000 a million 1000000

(2)21—99的表示法。先說“幾十”，再說“幾”，中間加連字號:twenty-five 25 thirty-two 32 forty-nine 49eighty-seven

87 ninety-nine 99 forty-four 44(3)101—999的表示法。先說“幾百”，后接and，再加末尾兩位數(或末位數):two hundred and six 206 four hundred and sixty 460

序數詞

(1)序數詞的前面一般要用定冠詞the表示第幾的意思。例如:

You are the second one to know the way.你是第二個知道方法的人。

(2)表示編號的時候，經常把基數詞放在名詞的前面表示順序，相當于the+序數詞+名詞，也可以用“名詞+基數詞”。

例如:Lesson Five =the fifth lesson第五課。

(3)表示分數的時候，分子用基數詞，分母用序數詞，當分子大于1的時候，分母用復數形式。例如:2/5two fifths.

(4)序數詞在名詞的前面經常作定語修飾名詞，但是當名詞的前面已經有了物主代詞的時候，序數詞的前面不再用定冠詞the。例如:

This is my third question.這是我的第三個問題。

(5)序數詞可以表示日期。

例如:March 18th,1978(1978年3月18日)

注意:數詞的用法除了以上講到的基數詞和序數詞的用法之外，還有小數的用法，倍數的表達法等，我們會在以后的學習中逐漸學到。

倍數表示法

a.主語+謂語+倍數(或分數)+as + adj.+as。例如

I have three times as many as you.我有你三倍那么多

b.主語+謂語+倍數(分數)+the size (amount.,enn...f..。例如:

The earth is 49 times the size of the moon.地球是月球的49倍。

c.主語+謂語+倍數(分數)+形容詞(副詞)比較級+than.。例如:

The grain output is 8 percent higher this year than that of lastyear.今年比去年糧食產量增加8%。

d.還可以用by+倍數，表示增加多少倍。例如:

The production of grain has been increased by four times this year.今年糧食產

量增加了4倍。

2)分數表示法的構成:基數詞代表分子，序數詞代表分母。分子大于1時，分子的序數詞

用單數，分母的序數詞用復數。例如:

1/3 one-third;3/37 three and three-sevenths.
